About Us

First State Chevrolet was originally established when Bob Hansen and Lee Turek renamed the dealership after purchasing Theodore Burton, Jr and Company from Theodore and Louis Burton in 1976. It was originally located at 124 East Market St. in downtown Georgetown, Delaware. In 1991 the business was relocated to Dupont Highway in Georgetown to better handle our growing clientele. In January 2018, Bill Hansen purchased Lee Turek‘s interest in the business and became operating Dealer. This year marks our 50th anniversary of being a family Run hometown dealership.  Our motto has always been to put “You the customer first in everything we do!
